Demystifying Project Architecture for Junior Developers

Being a Jr. Front End Developer, I always used to rush to YouTube to find a project that would look cool and show how pro I was in front-end development. However, over the period of time, I realized that developing a project was just a part of the process and then I got to know about Project Architecture and its importance before developing a project.

No, I am not gonna explain your Project Management Cycle, but an approach you should take to accomplish the outcome. Also, this blog gonna be from the perspective of a Junior Developer.

However, you might wonder why it's necessary for a junior developer to learn how to create a project architecture or plan. The reason is that it provides a better understanding of the project and helps you anticipate and address potential issues. Planning a project allows you to have a more informed and effective approach during implementation.

Let's dive into the steps you need to take to plan your project:

~ Defining The Project Problem and Need of the Project: Clearly articulate the specific problem or challenge that the project aims to address. This should include a detailed description of the current situation, any pain points, inefficiencies, or opportunities for improvement. Understanding the problem is essential for defining the project's purpose and scope.

~ Unique Features of your project: Jort down the features you wanna add to your project, this will also help you to learn how to implement that feature in a better way and give a great user experience, also it helps to develop the project in a hierarchical approach.

~ Content of your projects: As a developer, you need to add relevant content to the project as users won't understand your project if you include the lorem ipsum text, and trust me it gives a very bad impression. If you feel you are out of content, then just take the help of AI.

~ Selecting a better tech stack: In today's front-end era there are tons of libraries and frameworks just to develop web apps. It's very important to select a very decisive tech stack. Let me explain to you with an example:

To make a single-page landing website you can avoid using Javascript frameworks and libraries because Vanilla HTML CSS and Javascript are capable of developing it,
But if your website has multiple features, pagination, or you think the project has the scope of scaling then you have to go with any Javascript Framework as it will make it easy for you in many ways.

Closure:

By accomplishing the steps and approaches mentioned above, you will gain a significant advantage as a developer. Understanding how to effectively define project problems and needs sets you apart from others in the field. It not only empowers you to deliver better solutions but also positions you as a more proficient developer.
